Dr. Eric Le
He was the curious kid in the orthodontic chair. Now he's the orthodontist. He also once golfed with Samuel L. Jackson.
He remembers what it felt like to be the nervous kid in the chair.
Dr. Eric Le's journey into orthodontics started at age 13 when he got his own braces. He was curious about how it worked, fascinated by the impact it had on his confidence, and quietly decided he wanted to do that for other kids someday. He trained at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry — one of the most respected dental schools in the country.
He's a self-proclaimed "kid at heart," which means he holds his own in conversations about Minecraft, debates who the best Spider-Man is, and finds the right video game reference to put an anxious patient completely at ease. He believes orthodontic visits should be exciting, not daunting — and he has the patient outcomes to prove it works.
His most memorable case: a young patient who came in anxious and self-conscious about her crowded teeth. He guided her through treatment without extractions, and 15 months later she left with a confident smile — and a new dream of becoming an orthodontist herself. His family includes his parents (both physicians), a brother in medical training, a fiancée who is an endodontist, and more than a dozen relatives in the dental field. Dentistry genuinely runs in his blood.
Outside the office, Dr. Eric loves golf — including a memorable round with Samuel L. Jackson, yes, that one — exploring San Diego's restaurant scene, and relaxing at La Jolla Beach. He's always up for a community event or a new local spot. He's easy to find.
