Dr. Jordan Buzzell
Navy veteran, public health master, free clinic co-founder, and the person who proved that "the perfect breakfast burrito" is a worthy life goal.
Dr. Buzz has done more by Tuesday than most people do all year.
Dr. Jordan Buzzell — Dr. Buzz to everyone — is board-certified, Navy-proud, and genuinely one of the most accomplished people you'll meet in a dental office. He earned his undergraduate degree from Azusa Pacific University, his dental degree from Loma Linda University, and his pediatric specialty at NYU. He also holds a master's degree in public health — the fourth generation in his family to pursue education in that field. He served six years on active duty in the U.S. Navy and remains in the Active Reserves.
He received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He is the co-founder and co-creator of the Cura Smiles free dental clinic in San Diego's City Heights neighborhood, an adjunct faculty member at Point Loma Nazarene University, and a professional mentor to PLNU students. He has extensive experience with children with special needs, including those born with craniofacial abnormalities like cleft lip and palate.
He's been seeing families in Santee since the office opened and is grateful every day for the community that has made his practice their dental home. He treats every child the way he treats his own — with patience, compassion, and genuine love for the work.
A self-described beach bum, Dr. Buzz is dad to three young kids and a loyal EDM fan (Friday night dance parties are mandatory in the Buzzell household). He is also perpetually in pursuit of the perfect breakfast burrito, a quest he takes seriously. If you hear music in the Santee office, there's a good chance he's in.
